Freedom my ass!

by Kamichan | May 20, 2009 | In Politics

What really pisses me off about right-wing conservatives in the United States is their constant whining about how everybody (i.e. liberals) is trying to take away their freedom. Their freedom, mind you. They don’t give a shit about other people’s freedom. They want the freedom to destroy the environment, they want the freedom to carry guns in case they ever need to kill someone, they want the freedom to torture people. But heaven forbid a woman wants the freedom to abort a child that’s the result of a rape, or gays want the freedom to marry. Then all of a sudden right-wingers call for government to regulate people’s lives. Damn hypocritical bigots are making me sick to my stomach.

  1. It’s kinda funny that they’ve chosen my lil’ country as an example of all things evil lately, we’re not even as liberal as they make us out to be. If they’re gonna make stuff up, there must be better candidates. What ever happend to the French? Everyone loves to hate the French and they’re much less likely to follow what those crazy Americans are saying.

Something for your other site, maybe:

I got my copy of his debut album today. And no I don’t know him personally (but I’ve had drinks with one of the songwriters). ^__^

Sverige is the land of the evil pirates, yo! You should all be taken to Guantanamo. Well, all except you and Johan Palm who’s the girliest boy I’ve seen in while. Plus, on the background image on his website he looks kinda… dead. But damn, he’s sexy. Is the album any good?

And we’re all gay or living in sin or both, no wait, that second part is one of the problems-we’re all supposed to be gay AND married (Oh, the horror!) according to everyones favourite fictionalist Bill O’Reilly. Well, now we can be, but only since May 1st, not when Bill said we were. One of the funny things is that if you’re a liberal in Sweden it means you’re a right-wing fanatic, beeing a socialist drone AND a liberal makes no sense at all!

Johan is absurdly girly and adorably boyish, definitely a winning combination. He’s seventeen now, but looks and sounds like he’s fourteen.
The album is surprisingly good and it got decent reviews. Nevermind that his singing is only slightly better than a young Ryo Nishikido live, with modern technology and some really great material from some of the best Swedish songwriters the album is a very satisfactory pop-rock confection. “Unusually unclichéed”, as one reviewer wrote.

Bill O’Reilly is a nutjob like all the other Fox News people, except he is a little more intelligent which makes him kinda dangerous.

Absurdly girlish and adorably boyish is a winning combination indeed. I subscribed to Johan’s Youtube channel. Definitely gonna keep an eye on him.

  2. I was all set to go off on some political rant. Then you hijacked your own thread. Now all I can think about is Johan Palm, who really should make friends with Bill Kaulitz.

Me? Hijack? I did no such thing! The Swedish Princess of Pirates did it! And I went along with it because of… Stockholm syndrome! Hat tip to Toma for doing it. Talking about girly boy popstars is so much more rewarding than ranting about right-wing nuts.

Anyway, Johan is totally hot. He and Bill should have a love child, an androgynous boy named Jill.

  3. I’m a liberal myself, and have never really understood why conservatives even existed. To a lot of people around me (I live in a Democrat state), Republicans are just ridiculous. They’re outdated by decades. My Democrat friend from a Republican state came to visit, and told me how everyone around her is anti-Obama and anti-Democrat. They sound absolutely bizarre.
The Republicans are being hypocrites at this point, in my opinion, because they’re desperate. They’re the minority/opposition party for once in quite a while, and they’re unused to it. Now they’re making fools of themselves. Aha.

Word! They have lost so much credibility during the Bush years, and they continue doing so now. They’re completely losing it, and they know it, and that’s why they are totally panicking and saying even more stupid nonsense. It would actually be quite enjoyable to watch, if it weren’t for the fact that lives of innocent people are involved.

  4. All pirates say Arrr….Hijacking is what we do best. ^^

Now I have to try to get the image of an Johan Palm-Bill O’Reilly love child out of my mind.

  5. What’s amazing is how the term “conservative” has changed since the 60’s. It used to be that it meant having a government which only got involved in private affairs when absolutely necessary. Now it’s about pushing religiously fundamentalist norms and mores on society. The Republican Party puts the “mental” in fundamentalism.
